Heidi, where are you going?

I suppose many songs have been made up around the homestead... to celebrate, alleviate boredom, to serenade a sweetheart.  While driving toward Florida yesterday, my sweetheart created a lovely song based on a favorite from his childhood.

Heidi, where are you going?
Outside to dump the tanks..
Heidi's agile like a gibbon,
graceful like gazelle.
Then Heidi missed the sidewalk...

Oh my goodness!
Oh my soul!
There goes Heidi down the hole!
Heidi! Heidi!
Glug. Glug.

No, I didn't fall in the dump station hole....

again!

  2. You fell down the hole before? Talk about adding insult to injury. I hate it when things go like that, it's almost like mamman fate says "let's get a rise out of them this time", lol.

Hope your drive has been goin well :)

  4. Well, I don't think we'll talk about *before* LOL!

Thanks for the comments! We've been running from state to state... we have so many people to visit before winter. I've fallen behind in reading blogs. I'm looking forward to getting caught up with your blogs in the next few days.

  5. We are really behind reading blogs! I just got to this one and you are my wife LOL! Funny! So I really think you should tell them the original song version too so they know both :)

    I love my Gazelle!

  6. My first thought was Dave Matthews Band, "Where are you going?". So what was it?

  7. Hey Remi, not Dave Matthews Band.. it's a children's song.

Good luck duck, I have a hard time believing that a fine duck such as yourself wouldn't have a song written for them. I think we should ask Mike to write one for you too! ;)
